The Single Roll–Roll Wrapper uses a single roll of LDPE film and a print-registration control system to create accurate, repeatable wraps — perfectly aligned for your product graphics and branding. Each roll is sleeved in film, sealed, and shrink-wrapped to form a bull’s-eye or full enclosure, ensuring protection during shipping, handling, and display.

How It Works

Each roll enters the infeed conveyor and is automatically positioned for wrapping. A servo-controlled pusher drives the roll through a pre-measured film sleeve. The film feed system meters and aligns each section of LDPE film using registration marks to maintain consistent branding and placement.

As the roll advances, the film folds evenly around it, and a tensioned film rewind keeps the wrap smooth and taut. Once enclosed, the roll passes through a high-efficiency shrink tunnel where heat fuses and tightens the film into a professional, bull’s-eye-style package.

The result is a perfectly sealed, moisture-resistant, and visually appealing wrap — ready for storage, shipping, or retail display.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the wrapper run printed film?
Yes, the wrapper can run either a print registered loop or a random printed film.

Are you able to run product that is not round?
Yes, while this system is designed to run cylindrical shaped products, EDL can and has experience wrapping non cylindrical products, including panels, windows, shingles and boards.

Can the system splice film together?
Yes, the system is equipped with a film splicer, which can be used to splice between two rolls of the same film during a production run (without line stoppage), or it can be used during a changeover to splice to a new roll of film for a new product.

Can the wrapper be arranged in a different layout or configuration, what you have here does not fit our plant’s line?
Yes, the SRRW has four base layout, two U-shaped, and two Z-shaped layouts. EDL can also integrate turntables upstream and/or downstream to reorient rolls as needed.

We produce rolls that are larger (wider); do you make larger machines to accommodate them?
Yes, we can make larger/wide versions of the machine. The current machine accommodates up to a 53” web of film, but we offer 66”, 82”, 96”, 108”, 120”, and 144” versions to fit your application.

Even with those larger machine options our product is still too wide, do you have any other options?
If your product is too large for a SRRW, we recommend looking at a forming shoe.

Can we change the machine paint colors?
Yes, we can paint the machine any color(s) you prefer; we just need the RAL numbers. All paint is powder coat.
